Dubai To Host The Gulf-European Interventional Cardiology Conference On December 10-11
Dubai will host the 15th GulfPCR-GIM, the Gulf-European Interventional Cardiology Conference, from 10th to 11th December. This event is the largest of its kind in the Gulf and Middle East, attracting over 1,500 participants and 200 faculty members from more than 50 countries. It serves as a key platform for advancing interventional cardiovascular medicine through education and international collaboration.
The conference's scientific programme includes interactive educational sessions, live case discussions, and expert panels. Six complex interventional procedures will be broadcast live via satellite from top cardiac centres in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. These sessions will highlight advanced treatments for coronary and valvular heart diseases.

Prominent female physicians from the Gulf will feature in these procedures, emphasising women's significant roles in specialised medical fields. The sessions will cover diverse topics such as clinical case studies, bifurcation techniques, intravascular imaging (IVUS/OCT), coronary physiology, complication management, and innovations in stent and balloon technologies.
The event also includes joint sessions with international societies to promote cross-border clinical insights and educational advancement. This collaboration aims to enhance the competencies of local healthcare professionals while fostering global knowledge exchange.
Alongside the scientific agenda, an international medical exhibition will showcase over 20 global medical technology companies. Attendees will have direct access to the latest devices, technologies, and therapeutic solutions in interventional cardiology. This exhibition provides a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with cutting-edge advancements in the field.
The conference will spotlight the GulfWIN initiative, a regional effort focused on empowering Gulf female interventional cardiologists. This initiative aims to advance cardiovascular disease treatment among women by promoting gender diversity within the field.
This year's edition of GulfPCR-GIM continues its tradition of being a pivotal event for both regional and international participants. By facilitating high-level education and collaboration, it plays a crucial role in enhancing healthcare practices across borders.
