Dubai To Host Healthcare Future Summit 2024 Focusing On Vaccination And AI Innovations

Dubai is set to host the Healthcare Future Summit 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 29-31 October. The event, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will gather over 3,500 participants and 100 brands from more than 20 countries. The summit's theme, ‘Vaccination, Research & Development, Policy, and Delivery: Towards a Healthier Future,’ aims to explore innovations in healthcare.

The summit will delve into advancements in vaccination and healthcare technologies. A significant focus will be on using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance vaccine distribution and develop strategies for future pandemics. The event will also examine AI's impact on pharmaceutical research, particularly in vaccine development for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and 'immune ageing'.

Dr. Ramadan Al Blooshi, Advisor to the Director-General of DHA and Chairman of the Summit’s Scientific Committee, emphasised the summit's role as a platform for sharing insights on healthcare challenges and opportunities. He stated that DHA’s support reflects its commitment to innovation and AI in healthcare services, aligning with Dubai’s vision.

Dr. Abdulsalam Al Madani, CEO of the Healthcare Future Summit, highlighted Dubai’s position as a global hub for healthcare innovation. "The Healthcare Future Summit 2024 is a crucial platform for exchanging ideas and highlighting the importance of global collaboration in addressing health challenges," he said.

The summit will feature discussions on how emerging technologies can improve global health supply chains. It aims to foster collaboration between international health institutions to enhance health systems' responsiveness to global challenges. Panel discussions will explore technology's role in accelerating vaccine development.

Additionally, the summit will address vaccine policies in the GCC region and discuss strategies for improving public health preparedness against future pandemics. It will review progress in preventing infectious diseases like meningitis, aligning with global efforts to meet WHO's eradication goals by 2030.

Economic Aspects of Health Management

The event will also cover topics related to the health economy and resource management. Presentations will focus on modern economic tools that aid decision-making in public health. Discussions will highlight cost-effectiveness and financing models to ensure sustainable vaccination programmes through public-private partnerships.

Several international events are part of the summit, including the Dubai Otology Conference & Exhibition and the International Family Medicine Exhibition. These events will offer scientific sessions and specialised workshops alongside the main summit activities.

School Health Initiatives

The School Health Conference will run concurrently with over 400 participants from 200 UAE schools attending. This conference aims to tackle challenges related to school immunisation programmes while raising health awareness among students, parents, and educators.
