Dubai Health Launches Registration For Graduate Medical Education Programmes Including New Fellowships
Dubai Health has begun accepting applications for its graduate medical education programmes at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU). These include internships, residencies, and fellowships. Notably, new fellowship options in Pediatric Nephrology and Vascular Neurology are now available. These additions aim to cultivate highly skilled specialists and improve healthcare education standards.

MBRU currently offers 39 graduate medical education programmes. This includes 20 residency programmes, 17 fellowships, and two internships. All these programmes have received accreditation from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), the National Institute for Health Specialties (NIHS) in the UAE, and the Arab Board of Health Specialisations.
The introduction of fellowship programmes in Pediatric Nephrology and Vascular Neurology marks a significant expansion. Dr. Rasha Buhumaid, Vice Dean of Graduate Medical Education at MBRU, remarked on these additions: "The new fellowship programs in Pediatric Nephrology and Vascular Neurology are valuable additions to our programs offerings, reflecting Dubai Health’s commitment to an integrated educational and research environment. With plans to offer over 100 training seats annually in graduate medical education programs across various specialties, these programs align with our ‘Patient First’ promise, drive innovation in healthcare education while strengthening Dubai’s position as a global center for healthcare excellence."
Applications are now open for all interested candidates both locally and internationally. Prospective students can apply online through MBRU's website at www.mbru.ac.ae/graduate-medical-education. The deadline for residency programme applications is set for 27th March. Meanwhile, internship and fellowship applications will remain open until 15th May.
