Dubai Health Successfully Performs 11 Complex Heart Surgeries Through Nabadat Initiative
Dubai Health, in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, has completed 11 intricate heart surgeries. This effort is part of the "Nabadat" initiative, which aims to provide essential medical care for those with congenital heart defects and chronic heart conditions. The initiative is driven by a commitment to social solidarity, offering critical surgeries to patients who cannot afford treatment.
The "Nabadat" initiative, implemented by Al Jalila Foundation, represents a significant partnership between Dubai Health and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment. Dr. Amer Al Zarooni, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, expressed pride in this collaboration. He highlighted its role in supporting cardiac surgery campaigns that aim to treat patients in need.

Saleh Zaher Al Mazrouei, Director General of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, emphasised their dedication to ensuring eligible patients receive comprehensive medical care. He stated, "Inspired by our wise leadership’s vision, we dedicate resources and efforts to ensure eligible patients receive integrated medical care. ‘Nabadat’ is one of the key initiatives reflecting the UAE’s deep-rooted humanitarian values, saving the lives of many children and adults with congenital heart defects and giving them the opportunity for a better life and future."
Initially focused on children with congenital heart defects, "Nabadat" has expanded its reach to include adults and seniors who previously lacked access due to financial barriers. The initiative now provides high-quality healthcare services through specialised medical teams. Dr. Obaid Mohammed Al Jassim emphasised Dubai Health's commitment to such noble causes by leveraging its expertise and resources.
Dr. Obaid Mohammed Al Jassim also affirmed that healthcare is a universal right. He noted that timely intervention can greatly impact patients' lives and their families. Dubai Health ensured all necessary resources were available for this campaign's success, resulting in 11 successful heart surgeries with full patient recovery.
Successful Surgeries
Professor Zuhair Al Helis led the "Nabadat" medical team in conducting 11 open-heart surgeries for patients from various nationalities. These cases involved major artery defects, valve disorders, and weakened heart muscles. Despite some procedures being lengthy due to complexity, all surgeries were completed without complications.
The successful completion of these surgeries allowed patients to return to normal life without any complications. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of the "Nabadat" initiative in providing life-saving medical interventions for those in need.
