Dubai Government To Showcase AI Innovations Driving Digital Transformation At GITEX Global 2024

Digital Dubai is set to present the city's advanced digital solutions at GITEX Global 2024. This prominent tech event will occur from 14th to 18th October at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event will feature the 'Dubai Government Pavilion', showcasing innovations from over 45 government and private entities, highlighting Dubai's strides in digital transformation.

The 'Dubai Government Pavilion' will focus on cutting-edge technologies, especially artificial intelligence. A dedicated platform will display AI-driven solutions, products, and services, emphasising AI's role in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This initiative aligns with Dubai's vision of becoming a leading smart city.

Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai, stressed the significance of participating in GITEX Global 2024. He stated, "GITEX Global is a remarkable annual event that highlights Dubai’s ongoing progress toward a future defined by the latest advancements in information technology." He expressed confidence in the event's impact on transforming Dubai's digital landscape.

The pavilion will host various events, including partnership signings and presentations by officials and experts focused on technology and digital transformation. These activities aim to foster collaboration across sectors and stakeholders to realise Dubai's digital vision.

A diverse range of solutions from key institutions like the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment will be showcased. The pavilion includes 36 government entities such as Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and more. Private sector partners like Etisalat are also participating as Platinum Partner.

Gold Partners include Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment and Moro Hub, while Silver Partners consist of Network International and UXE Security Solutions. These partnerships highlight the collaborative effort towards enhancing digital services in Dubai.

Global Participation

GITEX Global 2024 will feature over 6,000 exhibitors and 1,800 speakers from 180 countries. Major technology firms and startups will participate, focusing on fields like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, mobility, and sustainable technology. The event aims to showcase global trends in these areas.

This year's edition is expected to highlight advancements in cybersecurity solutions and government services. Efforts to reduce bureaucracy and improve user experiences are also anticipated to be showcased at the event.

Strategic Goals for Digital Advancement

Digital Dubai aims to spotlight its achievements in implementing its strategy for digitising life in the city. Key goals include contributing approximately AED100 billion to the digital economy and increasing the digital security rate to 90 percent.

The strategy also focuses on improving Dubai’s ranking among the top three cities in the United Nations e-government index. Additionally, developing 50 high-impact digital experiences that are seamless and interconnected is a priority.

The participation at GITEX Global underscores Digital Dubai's commitment to positioning the city among the top five global cities for attracting digital talent. This aligns with their broader objectives under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
