Dubai Electronic Security Centre And World Bank Group To Host Global Government Cloud Forum In January 2025
The Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) and the World Bank Group are set to host the Global Government Cloud Forum on 21st January 2025. This significant event will take place at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
More than 350 delegates are expected to attend, including over 100 international government officials and more than 50 global speakers. The forum aims to reshape cloud computing's future and leverage its potential to drive innovation and boost the digital economy.

The forum will explore how cloud technologies can transform public administration and support sustainable development worldwide. Topics such as Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Quantum Computing, Sustainable Cloud Solutions, and Cloud for Development will be discussed. These align with Dubai Economic Agenda D33’s goal to position Dubai as a global leader in technology and innovation.
A series of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and case studies from global leaders in cloud computing will be featured. Key themes include multi-cloud strategies, data sovereignty, AI, and machine learning in government. Special emphasis will be placed on how cloud technologies accelerate the UAE’s sustainability goals.
Attendees will gain insights into successful cloud implementations in government sectors. The potential of quantum computing and disaster recovery solutions across various industries will also be explored. Breakout sessions will focus on emerging topics like green cloud initiatives and AI's role in enhancing public services.
Experts will discuss regulatory compliance challenges in cloud adoption and share best practices for safeguarding data. The future of cloud security in the public sector will also be a key topic of discussion.
Collaboration with Partners
The forum is held in collaboration with du as the official partner, alongside Moro and the Investment Corporation of Dubai. Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, Chief Executive at DESC, expressed pride in hosting this event for the first time in Dubai with partners like the World Bank Group.
