Dubai Future Foundation Launches Applications For The Dubai Future Experts Programme To Enhance Strategic Foresight Skills
The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), in partnership with the Executive Council of Dubai, has initiated registration for the new edition of the Dubai Future Experts Programme (DEEP). This programme is a pioneering government-led effort to establish a certified network of strategic foresight experts within Dubai's key government sectors. It aims to equip Emirati professionals with skills in strategic foresight, policymaking, and innovation-driven strategies.
Launched under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, DEEP seeks to prepare Emirati professionals in government and semi-government roles to anticipate and shape Dubai’s future. The programme focuses on strategic foresight and innovation-driven strategies to ensure Dubai remains at the forefront of future-ready policymaking globally.

DEEP offers a structured learning journey that blends theoretical knowledge with practical application. The first level, ‘Certified Foresight Practitioner’, takes place from May to June 2025. It provides intensive training on foresight methodologies, horizon scanning, and future scenario development specific to Dubai. The second level, ‘Certified Foresight Ambassador’, occurs from September to October 2025. This stage adopts a project-based approach where participants develop a strategic foresight project addressing significant future challenges or opportunities relevant to their sector or Dubai as a whole.
Participants will engage in expert-led training sessions, case studies, scenario development exercises, and interactive discussions throughout the programme. Upon completion, they will receive a certified qualification in strategic foresight from DFF and The Executive Council of Dubai. Additionally, they will gain exclusive access to a global foresight network and participate in specialised DFF events and training programmes.
Eligible Emirati professionals can apply for DEEP until 17th April 2025 via https://www.dubaifuture.ae/DEEP-2025. Furthermore, Dubai government entities have the opportunity to nominate employees through https://www.dubaifuture.ae/. Abdulaziz Al Jaziri, Deputy CEO of DFF, stated: "The Dubai Future Experts Programme equips a select group of Emirati leaders with specialised foresight expertise, enabling them to anticipate change, develop proactive strategies, and shape the future of Dubai’s government."
By embedding strategic foresight within government entities, DEEP aims to drive transformative shifts in governance. This initiative ensures that Dubai continues to lead in future-ready policymaking on an international scale.
