Dubai Future Forum 2024 Begins Tomorrow With Global Experts Addressing Future Challenges

The Dubai Future Forum, a major event for futurists, begins tomorrow at the Museum of the Future. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this gathering aims to create actionable strategies for future challenges. The Dubai Future Foundation hosts this event on November 19-20, featuring over 150 speakers and more than 2,500 experts from around 100 countries.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at DFF, describes the Forum as a global hub for future collaboration. He highlights Dubai's role in preparing for future opportunities, reflecting the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Al Gergawi states: "Dubai and the UAE have become a global hub for futurists passionate about shaping the future to explore transformative shifts, identify priorities, and raise recommendations to support decision-makers to ensure global readiness for future changes."

Dubai Future Forum 2024 Starts Tomorrow

The Forum will explore five main themes: Foresight Insights, Transforming Humanity, Optimising Health, Empowering Generations, and Futuring Nature. These topics will be discussed through various sessions addressing significant challenges and opportunities globally. The opening day features panels like ‘From Deep Space to Deep Ocean: A Future of Exploration and Discovery’, with Sara Sabry, Professor Oussama Khatib, and Suaad Al Harthi.

Other notable sessions include ‘Concepts of Time: How Do They Shape Our Future?’ with Jonathan Keats and Ann Beate Hovind. Keynote speeches by Dr. Parag Khanna on humanity's direction and Dr. Jordan Nguyen on technology's role in society are also scheduled. Additionally, discussions like ‘Making the Case: Which Way to the Future?’ will feature His Excellency Khalfan Juma Belhoul and Amy Webb.

Al Gergawi emphasises that rapid changes in technology and society necessitate revisiting government priorities for future readiness. He notes that success hinges on anticipating opportunities. "Rapid transformations in technology, society, and the environment make it essential to continuously revisit our government’s priorities for future readiness and the tools needed to achieve this," he adds.

The Forum aims to foster international partnerships by bringing together experts and decision-makers. It seeks to design solutions that benefit all humanity by leveraging these collaborations. This approach aligns with Dubai’s commitment to being at the forefront of global readiness for future changes.

The event also welcomes representatives from 100 leading international organisations focused on futurism. This diverse participation underscores its importance as a platform for exchanging ideas on shaping a better future.

This year's edition promises insightful discussions on emerging trends affecting our world today. By engaging thought leaders from various fields, it aims to generate innovative solutions that address pressing global issues.
