Dubai's Exports To The United States Experience Significant Growth Of 78% Over Seven Years
Dubai's exports to the United States have seen a significant rise, increasing from AED19.1 billion in 2018 to AED34.1 billion in 2024. This marks a 78.5 percent growth over seven years, highlighting the robust economic relationship between Dubai and the US.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, highlighted that Dubai's imports from the US also grew from approximately AED61 billion in 2018 to AED82.2 billion in 2024, reflecting a 34.7 percent increase. This growth underscores the strengthening trade ties between the two regions.

Al Mansoori noted that American investments in Dubai are on the rise, both in value and project numbers. From 2015 to 2024, Dubai attracted 1,474 foreign direct investment projects from the US, valued at AED79.6 billion.
The tourism and hospitality sector received the largest share of American investments during this period, amounting to AED28.3 billion. Following closely was the software and information technology services sector with AED20.2 billion invested.
The business services sector ranked third with investments totalling AED5.7 billion, while the entertainment sector received AED4.8 billion. The telecommunications sector was fifth with an investment of AED3.6 billion.
Business Community Confidence
Al Mansoori pointed out that confidence among American businesses in Dubai's economy is growing. The number of active American companies registered with Dubai Chamber of Commerce surged by 224 percent from 1,139 at the end of 2021 to 3,690 by last September.
The opening of Dubai Chambers' first representative office in New York is seen as a crucial step towards enhancing business relations with one of the world's major financial hubs. This move aligns with efforts to position Dubai as a global business and investment hub.
Forum's Role in Economic Growth
The Dubai Business Forum in New York aims to attract high-quality American investments by showcasing opportunities within the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). The forum provides American investors and entrepreneurs direct access to explore what Dubai has to offer.
This initiative supports building a diversified economy based on knowledge, advanced technologies, and sustainability principles, further solidifying Dubai's role as a key player on the global stage.
