Dubai Customs Unveils Al Munasiq: An AI Platform To Enhance Goods Classification And Customs Procedures

Dubai Customs has introduced "Al Munasiq," an AI-driven platform designed to revolutionise the classification of goods using the Harmonised System (HS) Code. This initiative aligns with Dubai's strategy to accelerate AI adoption, spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The platform aims to improve customs procedures' accuracy, efficiency, and speed, reflecting Dubai Customs' dedication to integrating modern technologies for enhanced customer satisfaction.

The "Al Munasiq" application offers advanced features for users, including search history maintenance, a favourites list, and options to save and share classification results. Users can access detailed information about goods and harmonised codes, such as customs duty rates and restrictions. It also provides insights into whether a code is part of any free trade agreement between the UAE and other countries. Available on major app stores and its electronic platform, it ensures accessibility across devices.

Dr. Abdulla Busenad, Director-General of Dubai Customs, highlighted the organisation's investment in advanced technologies like AI to innovate solutions that enhance performance and service quality. This aligns with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to make Dubai future-ready by integrating AI into critical sectors.
