Dubai Customs Unveils Innovative Projects To Enhance Services At GITEX Global 2024

Dubai Customs is preparing for its participation in GITEX Global 2024, which will take place from 14-18 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event will focus on "Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy." The organisation plans to showcase its latest technological advancements and improvements in services that leverage artificial intelligence to enhance business processes.

The aim of these initiatives is to align with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 by increasing the value of Dubai's foreign trade and fostering sustainable economic growth. Visitors will have the chance to experience a virtual simulation of the customer journey for clearing cargo shipments. They can also learn about modern devices designed to enhance customs inspections and protect the community from prohibited materials.

Rashid Al Sharid, Executive Director of Finance Affairs and Administration Division at Dubai Customs, emphasised the significance of GITEX Global as a platform for showcasing advanced technology experiences. He stated, "GITEX Global serves as a global technology platform that showcases the experiences of advanced nations in information technology, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence."
