New Marine Transport Lines To Boost Dubai Creek Marina Connectivity
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced two new marine transport lines to serve the Dubai Creek Harbour area. These lines aim to connect residential zones with key tourist spots in the emirate. The first line operates between Dubai Creek Harbour and Dubai Festival City on weekends from 16:00 to 23:55. The second line runs between Dubai Creek Harbour, Al Jaddaf Marine Transport Station, and Al Khor Metro Station on weekdays from 07:30 to 10:50 and from 16:00 to 22:50.
The fare for each stop is AED 2, making it an affordable option for residents and tourists alike. These transport lines were developed following a collaboration agreement between RTA and Emaar Properties. This partnership aims to enhance waterfront community projects and revamp tourist destinations in Dubai.

Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA's Public Transport Agency, signed the agreement on behalf of RTA, while Ahmed Al Matrooshi, Executive Board Member of Emaar Properties, represented Emaar. Bahrozyan highlighted the success of these lines since their launch in August 2022. Initially serving around 3,000 passengers monthly, the number has surged to an average of 30,000 passengers per month this year—a significant increase of 900 percent.
This collaboration with Emaar has led to improved infrastructure, including berths for various marine vessels and ticket kiosks to enhance customer satisfaction. Bahrozyan noted that this step aligns with RTA’s Marine Transport Master Plan 2020–2030, which aims to address developers' needs and boost marine transport usage in the emirate.
Ahmed Al Matrooshi emphasised the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving national goals efficiently. He stated that such collaborations contribute to economic growth and enhance Dubai's status as a prime global destination for residence and investment. "The provision of appropriate infrastructure in Emaar Properties' sea-view developments facilitates public movement," he said.
Commitment to Public Satisfaction
The RTA remains dedicated to improving public and tourist marine transportation services. To meet residents' and visitors' needs, RTA will continue collaborating with real estate developers and signing agreements that align with customer requirements. This commitment ensures that Dubai's well-being aligns with RTA's strategic objectives.
The new marine transport lines are expected to further increase the number of users in line with RTA’s long-term plans. By enhancing connectivity between residential areas and tourist attractions, these initiatives aim to make Dubai more accessible and attractive for both residents and visitors.
Overall, these developments reflect a concerted effort by both public authorities and private entities to improve transportation infrastructure in Dubai. The successful implementation of these marine transport lines demonstrates how strategic partnerships can effectively address urban mobility challenges while promoting economic growth.
