Dubai Courts And Dubai Chambers Collaborate To Strengthen Global Commercial Dispute Resolution Efforts

Dubai Courts has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Chambers. This collaboration aims to bolster Dubai's reputation as a reliable hub for resolving commercial disputes. The agreement focuses on creating initiatives and activities that promote mediation and conciliation between conflicting parties, enhancing the emirate’s dispute resolution capabilities.

The MoU ensures that agreements sanctioned by the Dubai Courts System will be enforceable as executive instruments. This guarantees adherence to the terms by all involved parties, thereby strengthening the implementation process. Additionally, the agreement aims to improve communication channels between Dubai Courts and Dubai Chambers, facilitating the exchange of legal data and vital information.

Dubai Courts and Chambers Sign MoU for Dispute Resolution

Prof. Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of Dubai Courts, expressed satisfaction with the MoU, stating: "We at Dubai Courts are pleased to sign the MoU with Dubai Chambers, which represents a fundamental step in our efforts to enhance the position of the Emirate of Dubai as a leading and prestigious global centre for settling commercial disputes." He highlighted that this strategic partnership aligns with efforts to improve legal infrastructure and digital transformation in line with leadership’s vision.

The collaboration also involves sharing knowledge and expertise in innovation and digitalisation. This is aimed at driving service excellence while educating members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce about amicable dispute resolution methods. The MoU further seeks to enhance cooperation on studies and benchmarking international best practices in mediation and reconciliation.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, commented on the MoU: "The sophisticated, efficient, and flexible legislative and legal environment governing Dubai’s business landscape is a key factor in the emirate's attractiveness among investors and companies from across the globe." He noted that this agreement is crucial for improving mediation services for commercial disputes in Dubai.

The partnership will support Digital Dubai's strategy by building a robust digital ecosystem. This enhances the digital economy through electronic connectivity in resolving commercial disputes. Such advancements are expected to positively impact Dubai’s business environment, fostering growth and prosperity.
