Dubai Civil Defence Unveils New Institutional Identity, Logo And Uniform Reflecting Modernisation And National Heritage

Dubai Civil Defence has introduced a new institutional identity that includes an updated logo and redesigned military uniform, reflecting its ongoing development and future goals. The move is part of a wider modernisation of the Command’s visual presence, supporting Dubai’s global position in public safety and emergency readiness and aligning the organisation’s appearance with its operational progress and strategic direction.

The new identity carries the slogan ‘Safeguarding Lives and Property’, which restates Dubai Civil Defence’s core purpose and highlights its continuous work to enhance protection systems. This refresh aims to express the Command’s strength and official status, while integrating it more clearly within the broader civil defence identity framework adopted across the UAE at the national level.

Dubai Civil Defence unveils new identity

The visual identity is based on a coordinated set of modern colours and typography that match the revised logo. The emblem combines several symbolic components that represent the civil defence vision and values. The wreath reflects the honour and dignity of the profession, and the seven stars indicate the seven emirates and the unity of leadership across the country.

The falcon within the logo conveys strength, pride, and national heritage, linking civil defence duties with the UAE’s cultural identity. At the centre of the emblem is a shield that carries the UAE flag, which underlines national affiliation and stands for protection and security. These combined elements aim to present a clear, recognisable symbol for Dubai Civil Defence’s new institutional identity.

Gold has been selected as the main colour, mirroring the tones of the national emblem and appearing alongside the colours of the UAE flag. The falcon figure has been refined, and other visual details simplified, to improve clarity on uniforms, printed material, and digital platforms. This supports institutional development plans and aligns with the Dubai Government’s wider visual identity guidelines.

Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Civil Defence, said the new institutional identity reflects a firm commitment to the fundamental mission of safeguarding lives and property. Al Matrooshi stated that the updated identity highlights the Command’s ongoing advancement in public safety, grounded in institutional excellence and sustainable innovation.

Al Matrooshi added that the step is designed to meet future operational needs while preserving the organisation’s long-standing legacy and deep national roots. Al Matrooshi also noted that the unified identity strengthens the Command’s presence, streamlines visual communication, and supports its role as a key government body aligned with Dubai’s aim to remain one of the safest and most secure cities.
