Dubai Chambers Expands Ties With Serbia Through Trade Mission To Boost Bilateral Investment
Dubai Chambers has completed a trade mission to Belgrade that sought to broaden economic cooperation with the Republic of Serbia, deepen bilateral investment and expand sector partnerships. The visit focused on trade, technology, manufacturing and logistics, while highlighting the impact of the UAE–Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and recent strong non-oil trade and company registration growth between Dubai and Serbia.
The delegation was led by Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, and included Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers. The mission formed part of the ‘Growth Corridors’ initiative, which targets high-potential markets and aims to create new channels for businesses in both locations.

Non-oil trade between Dubai and Serbia reached AED335.8 million in 2024, with 43.5 year-on-year growth, underlining the potential for deeper ties. During 2025, 109 Serbian companies joined Dubai Chamber of Commerce, bringing total active Serbian member companies to 308 by year-end, which represented annual growth of 36.9 percent in Serbian membership.
Meetings with the Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade, attended by Jagoda Lazarević, Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Serbia, addressed ways to strengthen trade and investment links. Discussions covered priority sectors such as food and agriculture, tourism, renewable energy and logistics, with additional attention on attracting specialised technology talent to both markets.
Dubai Chambers also met the Development Agency of Serbia, the government body that supports and attracts investment, promotes exports and works to enhance competitiveness. The two sides examined cooperation in manufacturing, mining and advanced technology, and looked at specific investment opportunities in logistics, tourism, artificial intelligence and pharmaceuticals to increase mutual capital flows.
Throughout the mission, Dubai Chambers outlined the range of support available for Serbian companies that plan to establish operations in Dubai or expand from the emirate into regional and global markets. The organisation stressed how the UAE–Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement has created new openings for trade, investment and sector collaboration across technology, real estate, financial services, innovation and broader commercial activities.
Dubai Chambers Serbia cooperation on technology and innovation
As part of the programme, Dubai Chambers held a roundtable with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, which gathered seven leading Serbian technology entrepreneurs. The dialogue reviewed Dubai’s strategy for accelerating artificial intelligence adoption and explained the role of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy in supporting Serbian firms looking to enter Dubai’s advanced technology ecosystem.
Additional roundtables took place with Science and Technology Park Belgrade and Serbia’s Innovation Fund, where participants explored cooperation in innovation and advanced technologies. Focus areas included healthtech, gaming, biotechnology and blockchain, alongside initiatives to link entrepreneurial ecosystems, share expertise and strengthen support structures for start-ups and high-growth companies in both jurisdictions.
The delegation also highlighted Dubai’s advantages for Serbian e-commerce businesses aiming for regional expansion. Discussions noted Dubai’s role as a regional hub for warehousing and distribution, together with its developed logistics and supply chain infrastructure, which can help Serbian companies manage inventory, reduce delivery times and reach Middle East and global customers more efficiently.
Dubai Chambers invited Serbian companies to attend specialised trade exhibitions hosted in Dubai and suggested co-organising bilateral business events to support direct engagement. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, stated, "The growing cooperation between Dubai and Serbia reflects our shared commitment to opening new horizons for trade and investment. This visit offers an important opportunity to deepen dialogue between our business communities and explore strategic partnerships that advance shared economic objectives, create high-value opportunities, and support growth in vital sectors. This aligns with Dubai Chambers’ ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation and build constructive partnerships with markets around the world." The mission underscored Dubai Chambers’ intention to maintain regular dialogue with Serbian partners and continue building on the progress achieved during the visit.
