Dubai Chambers Initiates Exporters Roundtable To Enhance Global Trade

Dubai Chambers has recently inaugurated the Exporters Roundtable, an innovative initiative aimed at bolstering export companies in Dubai by broadening the international presence of their products and services. This move is strategically aligned with the ambitions of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which envisions doubling the emirate's economic size by 2033 and securing a spot for Dubai among the top three global cities. Furthermore, this initiative is in sync with the goals of the Dubai Global initiative, dedicated to helping Dubai-based enterprises explore new business and economic opportunities worldwide.

The Exporters Roundtable serves as a vital platform for engaging with local exporters, offering them a chance to voice their challenges, priorities, and requirements within the export and re-export sectors. The inaugural session, held at the Dubai Chambers’ headquarters, saw participation from 140 leading exporters. It facilitated a constructive exchange on the hurdles and prospects that shape the future of these sectors.

Boosting Global Trade: Dubai's New Initiative

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the significance of engaging with exporters to bolster partnerships within the business community and support Dubai-based companies' growth and prosperity on a global scale. He highlighted that the roundtable aims to enhance dialogue among local exporting firms, thereby boosting sector growth and unlocking new opportunities and support services.

The event also spotlighted the comprehensive economic partnership agreements concluded by the UAE, as presented by the Ministry of Economy. These agreements are instrumental in unlocking new opportunities for private sector companies and exporters in both Dubai and the broader UAE. Attendees were introduced to the myriad benefits offered by Dubai Chambers, including access to expert guidance, support through its extensive network of international representative offices, and opportunities to join overseas trade missions to forge new partnerships in key target markets.

This initiative underscores Dubai Chambers' commitment to enhancing the local business community's global reach and increasing trade volumes. It represents a strategic effort to support the development of the export and re-export sector and accelerate Dubai's foreign trade growth. Through such initiatives, Dubai Chambers aims to further solidify its role in supporting and protecting the interests of Dubai's business community while facilitating ease of doing business in the emirate.
