Dubai Chambers Supports Cancer Care With AED 15 Million Donation To Al Jalila
Dubai Chambers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Jalila Foundation, pledging AED15 million to support the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital. This hospital is Dubai's first fully integrated and comprehensive cancer treatment facility.
The donation from Dubai Chambers underscores their dedication to community welfare and initiatives that enhance quality of life. Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, and Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, Chairperson of Al Jalila Foundation Board of Directors and Dubai Health Board Member, signed the MoU at the Dubai Chambers’ headquarters.

Al Ghurair stated, "In line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to strengthen social responsibility, Dubai Chambers is keen to support national projects that contribute to improving the quality of life and enhancing community services, thereby fostering social and economic development."
Al Ghurair further added that their collaboration with Al Jalila Foundation reflects their commitment to social responsibility principles and the significance of charitable work. He emphasised their ongoing efforts to serve the community effectively.
Dr. Raja Al Gurg expressed gratitude for Dubai Chambers' generous contribution towards establishing the cancer hospital. She said, "Through this collaboration and the power of giving, Al Jalila Foundation is paving the way for enhanced care for cancer patients and their families in Dubai. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to foster a healthy and sustainable society, enhancing health and well-being through humanitarian, developmental, and community-focused efforts."
Hospital Facilities and Services
The Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital will span 56,000 square metres. It will include 50 clinics, 30 clinical research areas, 60 infusion rooms, 10 urgent care rooms, five radiotherapy rooms, and 116 beds. Additionally, there will be 19 gardens across the campus for patient recovery and family time outdoors.
This new facility will house a multidisciplinary team with specialised nursing staff providing integrated healthcare services from diagnosis through treatment. Selected treatments will also be available at patients' homes to ensure continuity of affordable care.
The hospital aims to offer comprehensive care under one roof while reflecting Dubai Health's commitment to prioritising patient needs.
