Dubai Chamber Forms Qazaqstan Business Council To Enhance Trade And Investments

In a significant move aimed at bolstering economic ties, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, part of the broader Dubai Chambers organization, has taken a step forward by establishing the Qazaqstan Business Council. This initiative is designed to enhance the bilateral trade and investment connections between the business communities of Dubai and Qazaqstan, signaling a new chapter in their economic relationship.

The formation of the Qazaqstan Business Council is a testament to the flourishing economic relations between the two regions. As of the end of Q1 2024, there are 589 companies from Qazaqstan registered as active members with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, indicating a robust interest and presence in Dubai’s business landscape.

The Council’s first Annual General Meeting, hosted at the Dubai Chambers' headquarters, saw participants delve into discussions on how to further amplify the council's membership benefits for both Dubai and Qazaqstan. This dialogue also covered plans for the year ahead, including a series of events aimed at fostering closer ties between the two business communities.

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, highlighted the vital role of such councils, stating, “Business Councils create effective platforms to foster dialogue with the business communities they represent, and embody Dubai's firm commitment to strengthening trade, investment, and economic relations with countries across the globe. These councils play a key role in strengthening partnerships to leverage opportunities and achieve mutual objectives, contributing to the growth of the private sector and advancing its contribution to sustainable economic development.”
