Dubai Chamber Of Commerce Launches Slovak Business Council To Enhance Economic Ties

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has introduced the Slovak Business Council to boost economic connections between Dubai and Slovakia. This initiative seeks to strengthen trade and investment across various sectors. The council's official launch occurred at its first annual general meeting held at the Dubai Chambers' headquarters, where participants explored ways to enhance cooperation, discover business opportunities, share knowledge, and organise bilateral events.

By the end of 2024, the number of Slovakian companies registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce had reached 134, reflecting a 41% annual growth. In just the first quarter of this year, 10 new Slovakian companies joined the chamber. Non-oil trade between Dubai and Slovakia amounted to AED3.4 billion in 2024, showing a 38% increase from 2023.

Dubai Chamber Launches Slovak Business Council

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, stated, "The establishment of the Slovak Business Council represents a significant step in strengthening economic relations between Dubai and Slovakia. The council will serve as a vital platform to unlock new partnership opportunities and contribute to the growth of bilateral trade and investments." This highlights the strategic importance placed on fostering stronger economic ties.

The Business Councils under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce aim to represent companies and investors from specific markets operating in Dubai. They collaborate closely with the chamber to enhance bilateral trade and investments with these markets, aiming for strong long-term economic partnerships.

This move underscores Dubai’s rising status as a preferred business hub for Slovakian investors. The Slovak Business Council is expected to play a crucial role in unlocking new partnership opportunities and boosting bilateral trade and investments between both regions.

The council's creation aligns with efforts to expand cooperation by identifying promising business avenues, sharing expertise, and organising events that facilitate bilateral engagement. These activities are designed to deepen economic ties between Dubai and Slovakia further.
