Dubai Chamber Of Commerce Establishes Georgian Business Council To Enhance Economic Partnerships

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has announced the formation of the Georgian Business Council. This initiative aims to foster collaboration between Dubai and Georgia's private sectors, enhancing trade and investment opportunities. The council's creation highlights Dubai's appeal to Georgian businesses and investors.

Last year, non-oil trade between Dubai and Georgia grew by 8.5%, reaching AED1.76 billion. By mid-2024, 89 active Georgian companies were registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. This growth underscores the strengthening economic ties between the two regions.

Dubai Launches Georgian Business Council for Trade

Country-specific Business Councils in Dubai represent various nationalities of investors. These councils work with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce to boost bilateral trade and investments. They provide platforms for companies to communicate, collaborate, and form meaningful partnerships.

The first annual general meeting of the Georgian Business Council focused on enhancing cooperation and organising business events. Participants explored opportunities for knowledge exchange and experience sharing, aiming to strengthen ties further.

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, stated, "We are proud to support the launch of the Georgian Business Council, which is set to play an important role in boosting bilateral relations by building an effective ecosystem for networking and collaboration." She emphasised that this council will facilitate business operations in Dubai for Georgian companies.

The establishment of such councils is part of a broader strategy by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. They aim to increase the number of Business Councils to better represent diverse investor nationalities in Dubai. This effort seeks to unify these councils' voices and support their global market expansion goals.

This new platform will advocate for the Georgian business community in Dubai. It aims to enhance advocacy efforts contributing to sustainable success for Georgian companies in the emirate.
