Dubai International Chamber Facilitates Meerana’s Tech Tie-Up With Vietnam's FPT

Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, has facilitated a strategic alliance between UAE-based Meerana Technologies and Vietnamese tech firm FPT. This partnership aims to empower UAE nationals by providing advanced technology solutions locally. Through this collaboration, Emiratis will gain digital skills via specialised training in artificial intelligence (AI) and modern software.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at Dubai Chambers’ headquarters. Present were Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Nguyen Thanh Diep, Ambassador of Vietnam to the UAE. The MoU offers Emiratis and people of determination opportunities to develop digital skills in fields like AI and software through FPT Group's global training programmes.

Dubai Chamber Boosts UAE Tech Skills

Matar Almehairi, CEO of Meerana, highlighted the agreement's benefits: "One of the key benefits of the agreement is that it allows the UAE locals access to more than 3000 high-level AI expert pool, including some of the best engineers, employed by FPT. This furnishes us with a unique opportunity to reap the benefits of AI whilst building a diverse network of experts and specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, raising the profile of Dubai as a pioneering regional and international hub for advanced technologies and innovation and a knowledge-based economy."

The collaboration aligns with the ‘Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence’. This initiative aims to accelerate AI adoption across sectors, positioning Dubai as a leading AI economy. The blueprint also seeks to make Dubai a top tech adopter and pioneer in cutting-edge applications.

Rimah Ghaddar, Regional CEO at FPT, remarked on the MoU’s significance: "The strategic MoU between FPT Software and Meerana Technologies delivers exceptional value to the dynamic UAE market. By harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, Hyper-Automation, Automation, IoT, and Low-code technologies, we are at the forefront of digital transformation, creating innovative solutions and use cases tailored to the evolving needs of the UAE clients."

Expanding Technological Horizons

The scope of this agreement includes key local sectors such as semiconductor development, cloud computing, software engineering, application development, product engineering, and technology. This broad coverage ensures comprehensive technological growth within the UAE.

This MoU resulted from Meerana’s participation in Dubai International Chamber's trade mission to Vietnam last May. A business meeting with FPT Group explored cooperation prospects. The chamber’s support culminated in this significant partnership.

Meerana Technologies' Global Reach

Meerana Technologies focuses on software, hardware, IT services, outsourcing, and business advisory services in technology sectors. Since its inception in 2022, it has expanded operations to the UK, Egypt, and India.

FPT Corporation operates in IT, telecommunications, and education sectors. Last year alone saw revenues reach $2.17 billion with over 48,000 employees under its wing.

This partnership marks a significant step towards enhancing technological capabilities within the UAE while fostering international cooperation.
