Dubai To Launch Its First AI And Web3 Festival Tomorrow: A Step Towards Digital Leadership

The Dubai AI Campus, an initiative by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), is set to host the first-ever Dubai AI and Web3 Festival from 11th to 12th September at Madinat Jumeirah. The event will gather 6,000 participants from 100 countries, showcasing Dubai's leadership in the digital economy and AI applications worldwide.

Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC, stated, "Dubai continues to recognise the importance of innovation to cement its reputation as one of the world’s leading technology hubs. The Dubai AI & Web3 Festival will demonstrate how AI technology is quickly becoming a significant disruptor of traditional services and illustrate how DIFC and the Dubai AI Campus are the powerhouses that are helping Dubai emerge as a leading authority on driving global adoption."

The festival aims to highlight His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision for Dubai as a global digital economy hub. This aligns with efforts to position Dubai as a key player in tech-based solutions that promote sustainable development across various sectors. The event underscores Dubai's commitment to implementing Web3 technologies, including AI, to drive economic growth in the UAE.

Participants will include over 20 Unicorn businesses such as Builder.ai, Cohesity, Cerebras Systems, Innovaccer, and SambaNova Systems. Additionally, 20 ministries and government agencies have registered for the event alongside 20 leading global businesses and major venture capital firms.

The festival will attract more than 6,000 attendees, including 500 investors and 100 exhibitors globally. By bringing together top decision-makers, innovators, and industry leaders, it aims to explore AI's commercial potential and its role in supporting sustainable development. Future editions aim to draw over 30,000 participants annually.

Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority, remarked on the significance of this initiative: "The Dubai AI & Web3 Festival is the second initiative spearheaded by DIFC for the Dubai Universal Footprint for Artificial Intelligence, showing how the Centre is at the forefront of AI innovation. The high levels of interest in both the Dubai AI & Web3 Festival and the Dubai AI Campus shows how the AI community is turning to Dubai to set the standard for innovation in this rapidly developing sector."

Future Tech Talks Series

The event features a rich agenda with Future Tech Talks series focusing on empowering digital economies and driving innovation. Keynote sessions will cover topics like AI’s role in shaping global economics, future funding trends in generative AI, and benefits of AI for public and private sectors.

The recent 'Future Tech Talks' event included collaboration agreements between key industry players such as Al Fardan Exchange, Dubai Chambers, Holon, and HP with the festival. This reflects their commitment to transformative change within the industry.

Showcasing Innovative Solutions

The FutureTech World Cup segment will showcase innovative AI solutions from startups like Momint, Nettle a.r.o., Nash fintechX, Orbii.ai, PLATMA, and Secure Blink. The winner will receive a Dubai AI Licence along with mentorship opportunities, international exposure, and strategic partnerships.

This initiative forms part of the broader Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI), which aims to enhance AI adoption across various sectors. Hosted by Dubai AI Campus and organised with Trescon's support, this event underscores Dubai's role as a technology hub.
