Dubai AI Retreat To Unite Over 1,000 Experts And Tech Giants For Future AI Strategies
Held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the AI Retreat is poised to unite artificial intelligence professionals from the government, private sectors, and leading global tech entities on June 11 at the Museum of the Future. This pioneering event, organized by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with the National Program for Artificial Intelligence, marks a significant step towards realizing the ambitions outlined in the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI).
With the aim of reinforcing Dubai's status as a global AI nucleus, the AI Retreat will convene over 1,000 specialists, policymakers, and industry frontrunners. The forum is designed to foster discussions on the myriad of challenges and prospects that AI presents on both local and international stages, and collaboratively formulate foundational AI adoption strategies across diverse sectors.

Participants at the event can expect a rich agenda comprising keynote sessions, panel discussions, specialized workshops, and exclusive roundtable dialogues covering four critical areas: Funding & Financial, Infrastructure, Data Enablement, and Talent Development. This assembly not only aims to solidify Dubai’s global AI leadership but also to propel humanity towards a brighter, more technologically advanced future.
Omar Sultan AlOlama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, emphasized the critical nature of seizing AI opportunities swiftly to foster economic and societal advancement. Highlighting the UAE's pioneering role in embracing national AI initiatives, AlOlama underscored the comprehensive and adaptable strategy Dubai has implemented under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to expedite AI application adoption and establish Dubai as a premier AI hub.
“The AI Retreat provides an integrated set of pillars to position Dubai as a global destination for AI innovations that drive development, support the digital economy, and enhance the nation's readiness for the future,” AlOlama stated, pointing out the UAE’s leadership in fostering international partnerships to maximize AI's benefits.
Launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed in April, DUB.AI is set on leveraging technology to elevate life quality. This strategy prioritizes AI governance and its implementation across crucial sectors to propel society and the economy forward. DUB.AI strives to create an optimal ecosystem for AI companies and global talent by ensuring a business-friendly environment. It aims to fast-track AI application adoption, supporting the Dubai Economic Agenda D33’s goal to inject Dh100 billion annually into Dubai's economy, thereby enhancing the digital economy and increasing productivity by 50 percent.
