Dubai AI Festival 2026 Set To Expand Reach With World Trade Centre Venue
The Dubai AI Festival is set to return in 2026, expanding its reach to the Dubai World Trade Centre. This move aims to accommodate the increasing global interest in artificial intelligence.The event, part of Dubai AI Week, anticipates surpassing previous attendance records by welcoming over 20,000 attendees. It will feature more than 200 speakers and exhibitors from over 120 countries, along with 50 roundtables and workshops.
His Excellency Arif Amiri, CEO of DIFC Authority, remarked on the significance of the festival: "The Dubai AI Festival is a powerful reflection of Dubai's ambition to lead the global dialogue on AI and future technologies. The Festival directly supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and DIFC's Strategy 2030 by accelerating AI adoption and positioning Dubai as a launchpad for high-growth companies. With the expansion of the Dubai AI Campus, the largest dedicated AI cluster in the region, we are building the infrastructure to attract global talent, foster innovation, and shape the future of AI from Dubai. Dubai's Strategic Growth in AI
Under directives from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, this two-day event will gather global experts in AI alongside government leaders and investors. The aim is to reinforce Dubai's status as a hub for artificial intelligence and future technologies. Building on past successes, this year's festival will include over 150 sessions and participation from more than 120 countries.
The festival is organised by Dubai AI Campus in collaboration with DIFC and The Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence. Its relocation to a larger venue underscores its growing scale and ambition. This change allows it to host a broader international audience eager to explore how AI is reshaping industries and economies.
Economic Impact and Future Projections
Dubai ranks among the top five cities globally for adopting AI technology. Supported by initiatives like the UAE AI Strategy 2031, both public and private sectors are advancing practical applications across various industries such as finance and mobility. By 2033, projections suggest that UAE's AI market could reach $46.33 billion.
The global economy is also expected to see significant growth due to AI advancements. From $391 billion in 2025, it could soar beyond $1.8 trillion by 2030, potentially reaching $3.5 trillion by 2033. In the Middle East alone, AI might contribute $320 billion by 2030.
DIFC's Role in Fostering Innovation
DIFC plays a crucial role within this ecosystem through initiatives like the Dubai AI Campus which hosts over 200 companies under its licence. Global firms such as Nagarro AI have chosen DIFC for their regional operations, highlighting its importance in nurturing emerging technologies.
The campus plans further expansion beyond its current size of over 100,000 square feet by hosting more than 500 companies while creating thousands of jobs by 2028. Additionally, it aims at attracting investments worth USD300 million during this period.
Training Future Leaders
Complementing these efforts is the newly launched Dubai AI Academy at the campus which focuses on training future professionals with essential skills needed for tomorrow’s challenges. By upskilling over ten thousand individuals by 2030 through collaborations between academia industry government entities alike; it positions itself as an engine driving innovation forward globally.
