DMCC Launches Sustainability Hub To Pioneer ESG Best Practices Globally
Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has taken a significant step towards promoting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) best practices by launching the DMCC Sustainability Hub. This initiative is designed to create a pioneering ecosystem for over 24,000 member companies, aiming to position itself as a regional beacon for ESG knowledge and innovation. The hub will leverage DMCC's industry expertise to cultivate a network of sustainability leaders committed to driving global change and impact.
The Sustainability Hub has already attracted notable founding members such as General Mills, Monjasa, Shell & Vivo Lubricants, Motif Interiors, and Evolvin’ Women. These companies and social enterprises will contribute to the hub's mission of fostering meaningful ESG advancements. The initiative will provide a comprehensive programme that includes meetings, networking opportunities, mentorship, and access to ESG-focused financial resources through venture capital firms and accelerator programmes.

A unique aspect of the Sustainability Hub is its bespoke loyalty programme. This feature will enable members to exchange points for various business services, including license and visa renewals. Additionally, it offers fast-tracked tier status within DMCC’s own loyalty scheme, facilitating access to dedicated account support teams and promoting commercial growth.
The partnership with C3 (Companies Creating Change), a UAE-based social enterprise, is pivotal to the hub's operation. C3 will offer an extensive training and events programme and foster connections between hub members and local and regional experts. Members will also gain access to The C3 Impact Hub, an open resource platform aimed at inspiring and catalyzing purpose-driven ideas.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, emphasized the hub's central goal of maximizing the positive impact of its members. He highlighted DMCC's commitment to ESG principles, noting its participation in the UN Global Compact since 2017 and its contributions to global insights on topics like energy transition and clean mobility. The establishment of the Sustainability Hub marks a continuation of DMCC's journey towards enhancing global sustainability practices.
Through this initiative, DMCC aims not only to showcase the ESG credentials of the world's business community but also to facilitate knowledge sharing and drive significant change. The Sustainability Hub represents an important step in ensuring Dubai remains at the forefront of the global sustainability conversation.
