DMCC AI Centre And IBM Consulting Collaborate To Expand AI Services In Dubai
DMCC, a global business hub in Dubai, has partnered with IBM Consulting for its AI Centre. Since its inception in September, the centre has attracted nearly 60 companies, becoming a key ecosystem for AI firms aiming to expand globally from Dubai.
IBM Consulting and DMCC will collaborate on various initiatives to boost Dubai's AI sector. These include creating thought leadership content, hosting educational seminars, industry conferences, and hackathons. This partnership aims to enhance the growth of AI technologies in the region.

The AI Centre offers access to advanced AI technologies and custom software development through IBM Consulting and other partners. It provides accelerator programmes, market entry support, and networking opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity for businesses.
Since its launch in September 2024, the centre has seen a 20% increase in companies, housing nearly 60 global AI and robotics firms. This growth highlights the centre's dedication to innovation and collaboration within the international AI community.
Ahmed Hamza, Executive Director – Free Zone at DMCC, stated that their primary goal is enabling practical AI solutions. He noted that AI could unlock US$15 trillion by 2030. Hamza believes DMCC can significantly contribute to this economic expansion through strategic partnerships like the one with IBM.
Bill Farrell from IBM Consulting emphasised the importance of seizing AI opportunities in Dubai. He described the DMCC AI Centre as a crucial innovation hub for emerging technology solutions. Farrell expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with DMCC to further global AI development.
The partnership between DMCC and IBM Consulting strengthens DMCC's reputation for attracting top international expertise. This collaboration aims to deliver substantial value to its members while advancing AI adoption worldwide.
