Dispute Resolution In Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Advocates For Amicable Solutions

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, participated in a session titled "Dispute Resolution in Sharjah: New Horizons for Amicable Solutions and Sustainable Justice." This event was organised by the Sharjah Institute for Judicial Sciences during the Sharjah International Book Fair 2025 at Expo Centre Sharjah.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed highlighted the importance of reconciliation among individuals as a guiding principle in interactions. He stated that this approach enhances social cohesion, consolidates values of tolerance and understanding, and promotes social peace and family stability, thereby safeguarding the social fabric.

The "Direct Line" programme was discussed by various speakers as an effective method for achieving restorative justice. Judge Dr Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Head of the Judicial Department; Counselor Dr Salah Al Hammadi, Head of Prosecution in the Public Prosecution of the Emirate of Sharjah; Brigadier Dr Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director of the Sharjah Police Sciences Academy; and Dr Emad El Din Hussein, an independent arbitrator and academic legal advisor were present.
