UAE Ministry Of Sports Unveils Digital Transformation And Sports Innovation Platform With NOC Collaboration

The Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee have initiated a significant step towards digital transformation in sports. This was marked by an agreement to launch the Digital Transformation and Sports Innovation Platform, witnessed by H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The platform aims to revolutionise the sports sector through advanced technology and innovation.

Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, will lead this initiative, which focuses on using AI-powered solutions to enhance athlete performance and governance. The platform is designed to support the National Sports Strategy 2031 by fostering a data-driven sports infrastructure. This effort aims to solidify the UAE's leadership in sports both regionally and globally.

The agreement was formalised by Ghanem Mubarak Al Hajeri from the Ministry of Sports and Faris Mohammed Al Mutawa from the National Olympic Committee. H.H. Sheikh Mansoor emphasised that true sports development requires a sustainable system ready for the future. He stated: "True sports development goes beyond achievements, it requires a sustainable, future-ready system."

H.H. Sheikh Mansoor also highlighted the importance of sports in national development, saying: "Sports are integral to our national vision and future strategy." The platform represents a new era for Emirati sports, focusing on knowledge and innovation to boost competitiveness and strengthen the UAE’s role in global sports.

The platform will provide smart digital solutions for clubs and federations, enabling them to make informed decisions through big data analysis. It aims to promote innovation in sports technology by offering specialised training programmes that enhance technical skills in digital analysis and data governance.

Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi remarked: "Digital transformation is no longer a choice, it is essential for driving sustainable progress in the sports sector." He noted that this initiative reflects the Ministry's commitment to unifying national sports vision through integrated policies that foster competitiveness.
