Digital Sharjah Leads The Way In Sustainable Digital Transformation For Government Services

Digital Sharjah recently unveiled findings from their "Impact of Digital Transformation" initiative. This project evaluates how digital services enhance government efficiency, reduce costs, and contribute to sustainability. Between 2022 and 2024, significant achievements were noted in cost savings and environmental benefits.

The project highlighted substantial savings, with the government reducing expenses by AED250 million and cutting employee work hours by 1.2 million. These changes reflect the positive impact of digital transformation on both operations and environmental sustainability.

Digital services have also benefited customers and the environment significantly. Customers saved one million dirhams and reduced waiting times by 79 thousand hours. Additionally, these services decreased carbon dioxide emissions by 15 thousand tons, showcasing their environmental friendliness.

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director-General of Digital Sharjah, emphasised the organisation's commitment to revolutionising digital service delivery in Sharjah. He stressed the importance of placing people at the heart of this transformation to enhance service efficiency through smart technology and data utilisation.
