Digital Dubai Celebrates Graduation Of 120 Participants From AI Skills Programme With Microsoft

Digital Dubai recently marked the graduation of participants from its AI Skills Programme, developed alongside Microsoft. This initiative aimed to enhance the artificial intelligence (AI) skills of Dubai Government employees through a year-long series of specialised courses and workshops. The programme aligns with Dubai’s AI Strategy, focusing on improving machine learning, data analysis, generative AI, and AI-powered software development skills.

The programme saw participation from 120 individuals across 36 government and private entities. It aimed to bolster digital competencies, drive innovation, and strengthen the digital economy by implementing new ideas and emerging technologies. The initiative included three distinct tracks: AI Developer, AI Champion, and Copilot Champion.

The AI Developer track concentrated on creating intelligent solutions using AI technologies. Meanwhile, the AI Champion track was dedicated to leading AI adoption and strategy within organisations. The Copilot Champion track focused on utilising Microsoft Copilot tools to enhance productivity and creativity among participants.

The graduation ceremony celebrated the achievements of both government and private sector employees who completed all stages of the programme. This included training sessions as well as practical implementation phases. Matar Al Hemeiri, Chief Executive of Digital Dubai Government Establishment, honoured the winning project teams during this event.

Matar Al Hemeiri commented on the occasion: "Building human capabilities is at the heart of Dubai’s digital transformation journey. Through strong partnerships between the public and private sectors, we are creating a new generation of digital talent equipped with the skills to shape the future." His words highlighted the importance of collaboration in developing a skilled workforce for tomorrow.
