DIFC's Future Sustainability Forum 2024 In Dubai Aims To Enhance Sustainable Practices And Investments

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has declared the upcoming 2nd edition of the Future Sustainability Forum, which is set to take place on 4 and 5 December 2024 at the Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. This event strives to propel the adoption of sustainable practices in the fields of environmental preservation, social equity, and innovation, positioning itself as a crucial assembly for discussion on sustainable development within the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region. This initiative is part of DIFC's broader efforts to promote sustainability in the UAE, aligning with its Sustainable Finance Catalyst goal to increase sustainable finance flows from Dubai to over $100 billion by 2030.

With the Forum coinciding with the first anniversary of COP28 in the UAE, it is expected to draw over 3,000 participants. This gathering will serve as a pivotal moment, bringing together industry leaders, investors, tech disruptors, and policymakers to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and support the targets of the Paris Agreement. The goal is to foster investment exchanges between the global north and south, thereby speeding up climate action initiatives.

Exploring Broad Sustainability Themes

The Forum's agenda is comprehensive, covering critical sustainability issues across eight core areas including banking and finance, construction, renewable energy, transportation, manufacturing, recycling, sustainable technology, and agriculture. This broad scope ensures that various sectors can contribute to and benefit from sustainable practices. Furthermore, the event will feature over 100 expert speakers on sustainability and climate action, ensuring a rich exchange of ideas and solutions.

Additionally, the Climate Action & Renewable Energy Expo (CARE) will be a highlight of the Forum, presenting innovative solutions and services from the global sustainability sector.
