DIFC Celebrates Two Decades Of Financial Excellence With 20-Day Event Series

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is set to mark its 20th anniversary with a comprehensive 20-day finance event, starting from 29 April to 29 May. This celebration aims to highlight DIFC's significant contributions to the global financial landscape over two decades. The series, dubbed "20 Days of Finance," will feature an array of activities including seminars, workshops, networking sessions, and special celebrations designed to bring together industry stalwarts, policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs.

The series will commence with the Dubai World Insurance Congress from 29-30 April at Atlantis, The Palm. This will be followed by the 2nd edition of the Dubai FinTech Summit on 6-7 May at Madinat Jumeirah, and the inaugural HFM Summit on 15 May at The Conference Centre, DIFC. The latter event aims to unite the hedge fund sector in collaboration with With Intelligence. Additionally, the Institute of International Finance (IIF) celebrates its 10th anniversary at DIFC alongside the Centre’s 20th anniversary with the IIF MENA CRO Forum on 21 May.

DIFC is also extending its influence beyond its premises by partnering as a platinum partner with the AIM Summit in London in April, a leading event for professionals in alternative investments.

Arif Amiri, CEO of DIFC Authority, emphasized DIFC's role as a pivotal force in regional economic growth and innovation. He highlighted the "20 Days of Finance" as a reflection of DIFC's dedication to fostering excellence and innovation within the financial sector. This initiative aligns with DIFC’s Strategy 2030 and the Dubai Economy Agenda (D33), aiming to position Dubai among the top business hubs globally.

The Dubai FinTech Summit 2024 stands as a cornerstone event under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It is expected to attract over 8,000 decision-makers, 300 thought leaders, and 200 exhibitors. Notable speakers include Yie-Hsin Hung from State Street Global Advisors, Brad Garlinghouse from Ripple, and Michael Gronager from Chainalysis.
