DHL Group and Temu Collaborate to Support Local Businesses

The synergy between DHL Group and Temu is set to revolutionize the way local businesses interact with global markets. DHL Group brings to the table its comprehensive logistics prowess, including multimodal transportation solutions, which will underpin Temu's expansion plans.

This partnership is not just about broadening market reach; it's about refining the supply chain to make it more efficient and sustainable. Through this collaboration, DHL Group will leverage its extensive network and global presence to facilitate Temu's growth, benefiting SMEs by creating pathways to scale and amplify their market footprint.

Katja Busch, CCO and Head of DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation, said, "Through our various DHL divisions, we are already providing a wide range of logistics services and solutions, including air freight and last-mile delivery. We are excited to elevate our partnership with Temu to the next level.

"By combining our logistics capabilities with Temu's innovative platform, we can create more efficient, compliant and convenient solutions that benefit both consumers and local businesses in the markets we serve," she stated.

Further solidifying their commitment, the MoU outlines DHL Group's role in bolstering Temu's operations within Europe, particularly emphasizing the local-to-local model. Temu anticipates that this model will account for up to 80% of its total European sales, showcasing the potential impact on local economies. Moreover, this partnership paves the way for European-based sellers to venture into global markets, thereby elevating their growth potential.

Qin Sun, co-founder of Temu, highlighted the significance of their alignment with DHL Group, "This letter of intent marks a significant step in our partnership with DHL Group. Its extensive network and logistics capabilities will help support our mission to increase consumer access to affordable products and help increase growth opportunities for sellers."
