DHL Global Forwarding Names Tobias Maier As New CEO For Middle East & Africa
DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, a division of DHL Group specialising in air and ocean freight, has announced the appointment of Tobias Maier as the new Chief Executive Officer for the Middle East & Africa region. This change will take effect on December 1, 2025. Tobias Maier will replace Amadou Diallo, who is stepping down after over eight years of impactful leadership.
Tobias Maier's extensive background in finance, digital innovation, and strategic growth positions him well for his new role. Since joining DHL in 2008, he has held various leadership roles. Most recently, he served as CFO for the Middle East & Africa region and CEO of Saloodo! Middle East & Africa, DHL's digital freight platform.

During his tenure at DHL, Tobias Maier has played a crucial role in regional mergers and acquisitions. He has expanded the company's presence in key markets like Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Ethiopia, and the UAE. Additionally, he initiated innovative projects such as DHL's RailDirect joint venture with Etihad Rail.
