DHL Express And Landmark Group Collaborate To Decarbonise Regional Supply Chains With Sustainable Aviation Fuel
DHL Express has partnered with Landmark Group to advance carbon-neutral logistics globally. This strategic agreement aims to enhance sustainability in logistics by using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) through DHL's GoGreen Plus programme. The collaboration focuses on reducing carbon emissions directly in the supply chain.
The GoGreen Plus programme represents a departure from traditional carbon offsetting. Instead of relying on external projects, it focuses on replacing fossil fuels with SAF, made from renewable resources. This change can cut carbon emissions by up to 80% per tonne of SAF used. The carbon savings are verified by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), ensuring transparency and accountability.

Operating over 2,200 retail stores across 21 countries, Landmark Group employs more than 50,000 people. The company is integrating sustainability into its operations. Rajesh Garg, Group CFO & Chief Sustainability Officer, emphasised that partnering with DHL is vital for reducing Scope 3 emissions and achieving decarbonisation goals using credible solutions like SAF.
Mahmoud Haj Hussein, Country Manager of DHL Express UAE, stated, "DHL has committed to investing €7 billion globally in climate-neutral logistics by 2030, and partnerships like this demonstrate how we're translating that ambition into measurable action. Landmark Group's decision to adopt GoGreen Plus reflects how progressive enterprises are keen on moving the industry toward a net-zero future. We're proud to support their decarbonisation goals with logistics solutions that deliver transparency, credibility, and real impact."
The partnership aligns with the UAE's National Net Zero by 2050 Strategy, positioning the nation as a climate action leader. Reducing Scope 3 emissions is crucial as they are often the hardest to tackle, requiring systemic change to meet climate targets. This collaboration contributes to the global and national climate goals.
The agreement was finalised at DHL's UAE Head Office in Dubai by Mahmoud Haj Hussein and Rajesh Garg. The collaboration underscores the importance of partnerships with forward-thinking companies for effective climate action.
Rajesh Garg added, "At Landmark Group, we are embedding sustainability into every aspect of our business and supply chain. Our partnership with DHL marks an important step in reducing our Scope 3 emissions and advancing our decarbonisation goals through credible solutions like Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Collaboration with forward-thinking partners is essential as we transition toward a net-zero future."
