DEWA Collaborates With Dubai Women Establishment As Strategic Partner For Global Women’s Forum 2024
Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) has announced that Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will be the Strategic Partner for the Global Women’s Forum – Dubai 2024. The event is scheduled for 26-27 November at Madinat Jumeirah. This marks the third consecutive year DWE is organising this forum, further solidifying its collaboration with DEWA.
The partnership extends DEWA’s involvement as a primary sponsor, continuing from previous editions in 2016 and 2020. The Global Women’s Forum serves as a platform for discussions on significant topics, featuring insights from global leaders, officials, and experts. Representatives from international organisations committed to advancing women's roles also participate.

DEWA's ongoing support highlights its commitment to empowering women across various sectors. The forum aims to address challenges faced by women worldwide through open dialogue, workshops, and high-level meetings. DEWA will have a significant presence at the event with the Future Stand, hosting discussions on women's contributions globally.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, stated, "DEWA’s sponsorship of the Global Women's Forum for the third consecutive time comes as part of its strategic partnership with Dubai Women Establishment." He emphasised their aim to enhance women's professional capabilities and increase their participation in development processes.
The partnership aligns with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision to support women in UAE’s development. DEWA plays a key role in empowering women, especially in clean energy and innovation sectors. It provides an environment that helps female employees unlock their potential and contribute to sustainability efforts.
Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Chairperson of DWE, praised the collaboration with DEWA. She noted that this reflects UAE’s vision to lead globally in supporting women. "Through engaging panel discussions and workshops with renowned leaders, officials, and experts from around the world, we aim to drive positive change," she said.
Forum Themes and Discussions
The two-day forum will feature panel discussions under themes like ‘Future Economies’ and ‘Impactful Technologies’. Workshops will explore solutions encouraging governments and organisations to empower women while sharing insights on overcoming challenges they face.
During the 2020 edition, DEWA hosted sessions under "Sustainability and Innovation," showcasing achievements of its female employees. These sessions focused on innovation in clean energy and AI technologies within the solar sector, aligning with Dubai's energy diversification goals.
Al Marri highlighted DEWA's contributions to national economy promotion of sustainable energy. She acknowledged its leadership in supporting Emirati women across various roles. "DEWA provides an encouraging environment that enables women to balance their personal and professional lives," she added.
