DEWA Signs Strategic Partnership With EPRI To Enhance Renewable Energy Training And Grid Modernisation

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), a prominent global entity in electric power research. This collaboration aims to enhance training and implement cutting-edge applications in renewable energy, grid modernisation, and energy storage solutions.

EPRI will offer various training programmes for DEWA employees. These courses cover smart grids, energy efficiency, distribution asset management, cybersecurity, sustainability in the energy sector, data analytics, renewable systems, and photovoltaic integration. The goal is to prepare employees for a sustainable future.

DEWA Partners with EPRI for Energy Training

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, emphasised their commitment to Dubai's vision of becoming a global hub for clean energy and the green economy. He stated that DEWA's workforce is crucial to their international success. "We support the vision of the wise leadership to make Dubai a global hub for clean energy and the green economy," he said.

Al Tayer highlighted DEWA's role in achieving the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. The aim is to become a leading sustainable corporation committed to net zero by 2050. He noted that investing in talent helps maintain achievements and encourages further accomplishments.

The partnership with EPRI will provide DEWA employees with essential skills for future leadership roles in climate action and digital transformation. Al Tayer mentioned that they focus on attracting Emirati talents and providing them with skills to lead future initiatives.

Arshad Mansoor, President and CEO of EPRI, expressed optimism about this collaboration. "The clean energy transition will only be successful if all of us collectively work together," he stated.
