DEWA Empowers Innovation: 6,235 Ideas Submitted by Employees in 2023

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has made significant strides in fostering innovation among its workforce, receiving a remarkable 6,235 innovative ideas in 2023 through its Afkari internal platform. This initiative underscores DEWA's commitment to enhancing its services and maintaining its status as a global leader in the utilities sector. Notably, an impressive 85 percent of these approved ideas have already been implemented, contributing to DEWA's operational excellence and service development.

DEWA's achievements in innovation have led to outstanding global competitiveness indicators, such as the world's lowest electricity Customer Minutes Lost (CML) at just 1.06 minutes per customer annually. Additionally, DEWA boasts 100 percent availability of electricity and water network services and 99.99 percent availability of its key digital services. These accomplishments highlight DEWA's dedication to reliability and efficiency in its operations.
