Ajman's Department Of Finance Launches Financial Innovation Hackathon For Creative Solutions
The Department of Finance in Ajman has initiated the "Financial Innovation Hackathon" as part of UAE Innovates Month. This event, running from 10th to 13th February 2025, involves government representatives, suppliers, customers, and community members. The hackathon's goal is to inspire collective innovation to create solutions that empower society and enhance government financial operations.
Participants will engage in brainstorming sessions to understand innovation concepts and tools. These sessions aim to develop creative solutions for challenges in financial procedures and supply processes. Additionally, they will focus on promoting electronic payment methods. Marwan Al Ali, Director-General of the Department of Finance in Ajman, emphasised the significance of UAE Innovates Month as a national platform for fostering creativity across sectors.

Al Ali stated, "This initiative comes within the framework of the department’s commitment to promoting innovation in the government financial sector and providing effective and sustainable solutions to the various challenges faced by our partners, customers, and the community in a way that supports sustainable development and enhances the quality of life in the emirate."
Al Ali further highlighted their dedication to supporting 'The Year of Community' objectives by encouraging innovative minds to shape a sustainable financial future. He noted that presenting ideas and visions helps address current and future financial challenges through comprehensive partnerships among government entities, private sectors, community members, and university students.
"Involving all parties in the hackathon sessions reflects our commitment to developing modern mechanisms that contribute to improving the efficiency of financial work and enhancing the customer experience," Al Ali added. This approach underscores their commitment to advancing financial work efficiency while improving customer experiences.
