Dawoodi Bohra Community In UAE Contributes AED 1 Million To Support Father's Endowment Campaign For Healthcare
The Dawoodi Bohra community in the UAE has generously donated AED1 million to the Fathers' Endowment campaign. This initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The campaign aims to honour fathers by establishing a sustainable endowment fund for providing healthcare to those in need.
Kinana Jamaluddin, who represents Sultan Al Bohra and leads the Bohra community in Dubai, highlighted the campaign's humanitarian significance. He noted that it aligns with Islamic teachings and the UAE's tradition of generosity. "Our contribution to this blessed Ramadan endowment campaign reflects the UAE's generous humanitarian efforts to foster a culture of giving and provide essential resources for sustainable healthcare for those in need. This is a powerful tribute to fathers and an affirmation of human values and compassion," he stated.

The Fathers' Endowment campaign operates under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI). It encourages donations in honour of fathers, promoting values such as compassion, solidarity, and respect for parents. This initiative also strengthens the UAE's reputation as a leader in charitable work while fostering community support for its noble goals.
The campaign welcomes contributions from both individuals and institutions through six main channels. Donations can be made via the campaign’s website (Fathersfund.ae) or by calling their toll-free number (800 4999). Additionally, bank transfers in UAE dirham are accepted at Emirates Islamic Bank using IBAN: AE020340003518492868201.
To facilitate donations, various platforms are available. SMS donations can be made by sending "Father" to specific numbers: 1034 for AED10, 1035 for AED50, 1036 for AED100, and 1038 for AED500. These options are available for Etisalat by e& and du users. The DubaiNow app also supports donations through its "Donations" tab.
Another platform supporting this cause is Jood (Jood.ae), Dubai's community contributions platform. These diverse channels ensure that everyone can participate easily in this charitable effort, reinforcing the spirit of giving during Ramadan.
This initiative not only honours fathers but also establishes a model for charitable endowments. It creates a movement within the community to support its objectives, reflecting deeply rooted traditions of generosity in the UAE.
