DAMAC Returns As Titanium Sponsor At DEWA's 27th WETEX Exhibition, Showcasing Sustainability Commitment
DAMAC Properties has announced its participation as a Titanium Sponsor at the 27th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.
This event will take place from September 30 to October 2, 2025. Coinciding with this event, DAMAC will release its 2024 Sustainability Report, entitled 'The Blueprint for a Greener Future: Measurable Changes, Meaningful Impact’. This report outlines the company's significant strides in environmental protection, social responsibility, governance, and innovation.

The DAMAC exhibition stand was visited by prestigious figures, including Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group; Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA); Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, along with other distinguished VIPs., highlighting the importance of the company's sustainability efforts.

In 2024, DAMAC made significant strides in reducing its environmental impact. By implementing efficient cooling systems and smart lighting, along with a shift toward renewable energy sources like solar PV panels and solar water heating systems, the company saw a reduction in its Scope 2 emissions.
These innovations contributed to a 47.2% increase in recycling rates and a 21% decrease in general waste. Furthermore, DAMAC's efforts in water management, including treating 32.8 million gallons of sewage, significantly cut down the use of freshwater for irrigation. The company's commitment to sustainable practices was recognized with LEED Platinum and Gold certifications for its Lagoons and Hills 2 Community Centre, respectively, showcasing exemplary sustainable design in Dubai.
Driving Social and Governance Excellence
The company's commitment to social responsibility and governance has led to remarkable achievements in workplace safety, diversity, and community support. DAMAC recorded 68.1 million safe man-hours, adhering to ISO 45001 standards, and grew its workforce to encompass over 90 nationalities, with a 33% female representation.
Its dedication to community upliftment is evident through the AED 150 million contribution from the Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation to initiatives focused on education, healthcare, and community development.
