Sustainable School: Conares and Partners Launch Eco-Friendly Initiative For Victory Heights Primary School

In a significant move towards enhancing Dubai's educational landscape, Conares, renowned as the UAE's second-largest private steel manufacturer, has forged a strategic alliance with Interstar Education Services and Al Saraya Engineering Consultants.

This collaboration is set to culminate in the establishment of Victory Heights Primary School located in the City of Arabia, Dubai. This initiative underscores Conares' dedication to sustainable progress and its pivotal role in bolstering the region’s infrastructure with superior steel solutions.

Conares Provides Steel for Dubai School Project

The school, which is positioned to accommodate between 850 and 900 students, will adopt the British curriculum and boast an array of facilities including sports fields, swimming pools, and expansive outdoor spaces. It aims to set benchmarks in accessibility, safety, and environmental friendliness, addressing the burgeoning need for quality primary education within Dubai's expanding communities.

The construction of Victory Heights Primary School will witness the utilization of Conares' uniquely produced 18-meter rebar, provided to Al Talaqi Building Contractor, the entity responsible for the school’s construction. This collaboration ensures adherence to all regulatory standards, fostering a modern and eco-friendly educational environment. Conares has already supplied 994 metric tonnes of rebar for the project, a testament to its commitment to quality and sustainability.

Al Saraya Engineering Services, alongside R&D Studio, who have previously designed reputable projects like South View and Victory Heights – Sports City, are spearheading the architectural design and planning of the school. This is complemented by Interstar Education Services, which will oversee the educational framework and manage the new campus, ensuring an outstanding learning experience.

Dinesh Kothari, Chairman of Interstar Education Services, emphasized the project's importance, stating, "Victory Heights Primary School will address the increasing demand for quality primary education in Dubai's growing communities. We are excited to partner with Conares to build a school that not only provides an outstanding educational experience but also adheres to the highest standards of sustainability." This sentiment was echoed by Bharat Bhatia, Chairman and CEO of Conares, who expressed pride in contributing to a project that enhances the lives of future generations through sustainable construction practices.

The use of locally sourced steel by Conares for the project has been highlighted by Denis Furtado, Project Manager at Al Talaqi, as a cost-effective and reliable solution that also benefits the environment by reducing transportation costs. The construction is slated for completion by June 2025, aiming for a timely opening for the academic year.

Sunil Lau, Managing Director of Al Saraya Engineering Consultants, along with R&D Studio, shared their vision for the school, focusing on creating a modern, inspiring, and safe learning environment. The design includes modern classrooms, sports facilities, and outdoor spaces, promoting holistic student development.
