Come On Kerala Exhibition 2023 Launches With Over 300 Exhibitors In Sharjah

The "Come On Kerala" exhibition, now in its seventh year, began yesterday at Expo Centre Sharjah. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the event will continue until May 11. Organised by Gulf Madhyamam with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), it is the Middle East's largest platform celebrating Indian culture, especially Kerala.

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah, officially opened the exhibition. Mohamed Ali Hilal Al Hazami, SCCI Board Member, and Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, were also present. The event attracted prominent business leaders and economic experts from both the UAE and India.

Come On Kerala Exhibition Features 300 Exhibitors

Following the opening ceremony, attendees explored various pavilions showcasing industries like healthcare, tourism, education, retail, and interior design. Both public and private sector innovations were on display. Visitors also enjoyed cultural performances that highlighted Kerala's rich heritage.

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais emphasised that "Come On Kerala" is crucial for Sharjah Chamber’s strategy to strengthen local businesses and access global markets. He noted its role in fostering partnerships between Emirati and Indian enterprises, supporting product diversification, enhancing competitiveness, and promoting sustainable growth.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa expressed pride in hosting this flagship event at Expo Centre Sharjah. He highlighted its significance as a platform for Indian companies to enter regional markets. The exhibition facilitates communication and partnerships between business sectors from both countries.

Exhibitor Participation

Hamza Abbas shared his satisfaction with the exhibition's success this year. He noted a significant increase in exhibitors and activities compared to previous editions. Over 300 exhibitors from government entities and major private companies are participating this year.

The event is expected to draw more than 275,000 visitors over three days. It features over 20 cultural programmes including live performances by Bollywood stars. Interactive family-friendly activities enhance the visitor experience with creatively designed exhibit halls reflecting Kerala’s landmarks.

The exhibition serves as an ideal opportunity for knowledge sharing between UAE and Indian businesses. It aims to establish successful trade collaborations while celebrating cultural ties through diverse entertainment offerings.
