Chinese Investments In Ajman Experience Significant Growth Of 173% Over Three Years
The Ajman Department of Economic Development and the Ajman Free Zones Authority have published a report on investments between China and Ajman. This coincides with China's 75th National Day celebrations. The report shows that investments reached AED26.5 million in 2023, a 9% rise from 2022. Trade value for the first half of this year was AED9.3 million, according to Ajman Chamber of Commerce statistics.
Chinese investors in Ajman have grown significantly, reaching 613 in number, with a 36% increase over three years. This growth highlights the expanding Chinese investment in the emirate. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of the Ajman Department of Economic Development, expressed congratulations to China on its National Day. He emphasised the UAE's commitment to strengthening economic ties with China.

Al Hamrani highlighted efforts to enhance economic relations with China, following directives from H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi and H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. The department aims to provide facilities for Chinese investors and open new business opportunities. Statistics show a 173% increase in economic licences owned by Chinese investors over three years.
The primary sectors for Chinese investors include general trade, IT network services, and hospitality. Ismail Al Naqi, Director General of the Ajman Free Zones Authority, noted that UAE-China relations are a model of strategic partnership in investment and trade. He stated that the Free Zones Authority is proud to support this growing relationship based on cooperation.
