Talent And Workforce Development Collaboration Between CERT And Pipetec In UAE Manufacturing

The Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pipetec Solutions Manufacturing LLC to develop talent for the UAE manufacturing sector. The agreement focuses on practical training, skills development, and applied projects that link students and employees with real industrial environments at KEZAD in Abu Dhabi.

Under the MoU, CERT and Pipetec will work together on structured training programmes, internships, and professional development. The collaboration targets manufacturing efficiency, digital innovation, and sustainability, while giving students hands-on exposure on the factory floor. Joint work will also support industry-focused research, development, and innovation linked to national economic goals.

CERT and Pipetec unite for talent development

Areas covered by the CERT and Pipetec MoU range from technical manufacturing skills to advanced digital tools. The cooperation includes sustainability and ESG topics, smart manufacturing supported by digital technologies, and the use of virtual reality and digital twins in production. Cybersecurity and blockchain applications in industry are also included, alongside applied research projects and internship pathways.

The CERT and Pipetec MoU was signed during the inauguration of Pipetec Solutions Manufacturing’s facility at KEZAD – Abu Dhabi. The event took place in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. Representatives from government bodies, industrial companies, and academic institutions also attended, underlining the partnership’s link with wider policy priorities.

Mohammed Gheyath, Chief Executive Officer of CERT, said, "With a long-standing track record in developing talents, CERT is committed to partnering with Pipetec to explore initiatives that connect applied training with real manufacturing needs, supporting both student development and workforce capability-building, and contributing to the UAE’s long-term economic and industrial growth."
