CBUAE Commemorates Golden Jubilee With Silver Coins Celebrating Banking Achievements

The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) has introduced silver coins to commemorate its 50th anniversary. These coins highlight the bank's significant contributions to the financial and banking sectors over the years. The initiative aligns with the leadership's goal of making CBUAE a leading central bank globally.

Each coin weighs 60 grams, and 3,000 pieces have been minted. The front side displays President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's image, encircled by his name in Arabic and the title "President of the United Arab Emirates."

CBUAE Launches Silver Coins for Golden Jubilee

The reverse side of the coin showcases an illustration of the CBUAE building. It also includes the phrase "50 Years of the Central Bank of the UAE" in both Arabic and English along its edges. Additionally, it features the years 1973-2023 and a nominal value of AED50.

A new digital service for purchasing these commemorative coins has been launched by CBUAE. This service is accessible through a dedicated page on their website, offering simple steps for users. A key feature is secure and instant login via UAE Pass.

The coins are priced at AED650, which includes delivery charges. This online service allows individuals to buy various commemorative coins issued by CBUAE in previous years starting from 22nd January 2025.

This initiative reflects CBUAE's dedication to adopting international best practices. It aims to enhance financial sector services by improving efficiency and delivering high-standard institutional services globally.
