CBUAE Commemorates Supreme Council For Motherhood And Childhood's 20th Anniversary With Special Coins
The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has collaborated with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood to release commemorative silver coins. This initiative marks the 20th anniversary of the Council's founding. Established in 2003, the Council has achieved significant milestones across various domains. The issuance aims to celebrate these accomplishments and honour those who have contributed to its success.
Each coin, made from silver and weighing 40 grams, features unique designs. The front displays an image of the Council's building, encircled by "Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood" in both Arabic and English. On the reverse side, it shows a nominal value of "20 dirhams," surrounded by "Central Bank of the UAE" in both languages.

This issuance is a historic gesture to honour the Council's anniversary. It acknowledges pioneers who have supported its mission to serve UAE families. The coins also recognise ongoing efforts to enhance services for mothers, children, and youth in the country. All coins have been delivered to the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and are not available for purchase at Central Bank branches.
Saif Al Dhaheri, Assistant Governor for Banking Operations and Support Services at CBUAE, expressed satisfaction with this collaboration. He stated, "We are pleased to cooperate with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood by issuing commemorative coins to celebrate the anniversary of its establishment." He highlighted that this reflects CBUAE's commitment to recognising institutional achievements across various sectors in the UAE.
Reem bint Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, commended CBUAE's efforts. She noted that these coins serve as a reminder of the Council's contributions over time. Al Falasi remarked on their role in addressing motherhood and childhood issues while enhancing care standards across educational, cultural, health, social, psychological domains.
Al Falasi further emphasised that these initiatives aim to ensure child and maternal security and safety. They also focus on monitoring development plans for achieving well-being goals. The coins symbolise ongoing dedication to supporting future generations through comprehensive support systems.
This commemorative coin issuance underscores a shared commitment between CBUAE and the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. It highlights their joint efforts towards fostering a sustainable environment for future generations within the UAE community.
