Calidus Unveils Seven Innovative UAE-Made Defence Products At IDEX 2025 Exhibition
Calidus, a UAE-based company specialising in defense technology, will participate in the 17th International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2025). The event is scheduled from February 17 to 21 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. Calidus aims to showcase its cutting-edge military products and systems, highlighting the UAE's advanced capabilities in the defense sector.
For the first time, Calidus will introduce an innovative 8x8 vehicle designed for challenging operations. This all-terrain vehicle, crafted entirely by Emirati engineers at Calidus' facilities, stands out as one of the most advanced globally. It is also the first of its kind to be designed and produced within the region.

Calidus will also present armoured vehicles like MATV004 and MATV001. These vehicles offer high-level protection, mobility, and compatibility with various military systems. The MATV004 model will feature the Al Heda missile system and other sophisticated weapon platforms.
The "Barq" rocket launcher system will be another highlight of Calidus' display. This system combines high mobility with intense firepower and incorporates advanced technological features. Additionally, a reconnaissance vehicle equipped with modern surveillance technology will be unveiled.
Calidus plans to showcase several state-of-the-art defense systems during IDEX 2025. Among these is a 35mm twin-barrel turret system for close-range air defense, mounted on the WAHASH 8x8 vehicle. Also featured will be the "Lahab" 155mm artillery turret, noted as a regional first for its high-impact firepower.
Dr Khalifa Alblooshi, CEO and Managing Director of Calidus, expressed pride in participating in IDEX 2025. He described it as an exceptional event that unites global defense industry leaders and decision-makers. Dr Alblooshi emphasised that this edition is significant due to its size and opportunity to showcase new defense solutions.

Calidus intends to sign multiple partnership agreements with leading global companies during IDEX 2025. These agreements aim to establish local production lines and transfer advanced technologies. This initiative aligns with Calidus' commitment to enhancing national capabilities and localising defense industries.
Dr Alblooshi highlighted that all Calidus products are developed by highly trained Emirati professionals following international standards. This approach supports the UAE's vision of fostering national industries and developing local expertise while contributing to sustainable development goals.
