CABSAT 2024 Unveils Future Trends In Media And Entertainment Innovation
CABSAT 2024, the Middle East’s premier event for the content, broadcast, satellite, media, and entertainment sectors, continued its second day with a focus on innovative solutions and technologies reshaping the industry. Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, the event runs until May 23, 2024, and welcomed ZHU Yonglei, Vice Minister of the National Radio and Television Administration of People's Republic of China (NRTA).
Over three days, CABSAT 2024 is expected to attract more than 18,000 visitors from various sectors. These include engineers, system integrators, broadcasters within digital content, broadcast and satellite; as well as content buyers, sellers, producers, and distributors. Attendees will gain insights into the future of media and entertainment through engaging discussions on the latest developments and opportunities in the industry.

The 30th anniversary edition of CABSAT features a distinguished line-up of speakers for its conference events, including the Content Congress and SATExpo Summit. These discussions offer significant opportunities for attendees to learn about advanced technologies and solutions transforming the media and entertainment space.
On day two, the SATExpo Summit saw notable success by gathering regional and global satellite and space technology influencers. Participants included inventors, prominent leaders, engineers, government officials, and various solution providers. Discussions covered global launch and manufacturing markets, future trends, trajectories, and business strategies of leading companies in light of AI advancements.
Key speakers at the SATExpo Summit included Jassem Nasser, Chief Business Development Officer of Yahsat; Jan Stoop, VP Business Development at Comtech USA; Joakim Espeland, CEO of QuadSat Denmark; David Provencher, Vice President Business Development at AvL Technologies USA; and Elizebeth Varghese from Deloitte Consulting USA. A Fireside Chat on ‘Phased Array Antennas for Next-Generation Mobility’ featured Dr. Leslie Klein from C-COM Satellite Systems Inc., Canada, and Virgil Labrador from Satellite Markets and Research USA.
