Buraak Claims Victory At UAE President’s Cup For Purebred Arabian Horses In Morocco
The UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses saw Colt Buraak clinch victory in its 32nd edition. This international race took place at the Anfa sand racetrack in Casablanca, Morocco, during the UAE-Moroccan Festival. The series is supported by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to promote Arabian horses globally and encourage their breeding.
Buraak, a colt owned and trained by Daissaoui Mohamed, showcased an outstanding performance. Bred by YAS Horse Racing Management and ridden by jockey Faddoul Abderrahim, he dominated from the final turn to the finish line in the 2,100-metre race. This Group III race was open to horses aged four years and above.

The UAE-Moroccan Festival celebrated the strong ties between the UAE and Morocco. It featured diverse activities for all segments of Moroccan society alongside eight race rounds. The event highlighted the historical relationship between the two nations through cultural and sporting events.
Seventeen horses from elite stables across Morocco, North Africa, and Europe participated in this prestigious race. Buraak completed it in 2:27:33 minutes. Vica Grine secured second place, while Mamouni Fal finished third. These results underscored the competitive nature of this international event.
Notable attendees included Muslim Al-Ameri, a member of the Higher Organizing Committee of the UAE President’s Cup Series; Omar Al-Tunaiji from the UAE Embassy in Morocco; Faisal Al-Rahmani, Secretary-General of the Cup Series Committee; Omar Skalli and Hisham Dabbagh from SOREC. Their presence highlighted the event's significance.
Al-Ameri remarked on witnessing a festival that reaffirmed strong ties between both countries. He noted that elite owners and stables from various regions attended, reflecting the Cup's prestigious status internationally. He expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed for his efforts in promoting Arabian horses globally.

Faisal Al-Rahmani also acknowledged Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's support as crucial to the festival's success. He emphasised that this Cup holds a prominent place in Arabian horse racing worldwide. Additionally, he praised SOREC for organising such a well-executed event.
